OCTOBER / 23

Calgarians are currently facing various initiatives... some stemming from the Housing Affordability Task Force's recommendations, such as citywide blanket zoning.

I'm eager to hear your opinion, and will be hosting a Townhall specifically to talk about upcoming issues.

This involves addressing long-term concerns as we undertake the development of a new Land Use Bylaw, which will look at the zoning rules to allow more of almost anything to be built into your community. As part of this endeavor, it involves ensuring that our City's growth and reimagination occurs in a thoughtful and methodical process.

We invite you to join us at the Pineridge Community Association (6024 Rundlehorn Dr N.E.) on October 11 from 6-8PM for a Ward 10 Town Hall. Come ask any questions or concerns you may have.

Community-Run Public Art Microgrant Program 2023

Neighbourhood groups in Ward 10 have an opportunity to apply for a public art grant program for community led projects!

Calgary Arts Development invites proposals for community-run public art projects, which is open to community associations, non-profit organizations, or charitable organizations.

While the program is open to all communities in Calgary, there will be bonus points provided for applications coming from neighbourhoods that don't currently have public art or programming from the operating grant. Here is a list of the communities that are eligible for bonus points:

  • - Horizon
  • - North Airways
  • - Rundle
  • - Temple

Here is a link with more information to take advantage of these funds to support a project that you may be working on: https://calgaryartsdevelopment.com/guidelines/community-run-public-art-microgrant-program-2023/

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS ENDS ON NOVEMBER 3, 2023 AT 4:30PM
